Na het glorieuze moment van vorige week, waar werd vastgesteld dat het ontwerp en de leest bij mijn voet passen, kon ik vandaag beginnen aan de definitieve schoenen. Ik heb de tong iets breder en langer gemaakt en de leest toch voor de zekerheid iets breder. De neus heb ik niets aan veranderd.
Hieronder kan je de werkzaamheden en resultaten van vandaag zien. Handelingen die al eerder voor de passchoen zijn verricht, maar nu twee voor twee schoenen en apart voor het bovenleer en de voering. Dus veel aftekenen, snijden, schalmen en vooral goed opletten dat van sommige stukken een linker en rechterkant nodig hebt. De kleuren van de schoenen zijn nu ook definitief.
De dag heb ik afgelsoten met het klaarmaken van de binnenzolen. Die zie je zitten in de pers onder de leesten.
Volgende week waarschijnlijk de hele dag achter de naaimachine.

On day 4 I was still enjoying the fact that my concept shoe fits and now it was time to start cutting the pieces for the final PAIR of shoes. Yes, now I have to do it all twice. This day I managed to cut all the pieces, prepare some of the pieces for stitching and put the lasts (I found that they call them lasts in stead of moulds :-)) in the press with the inner soles. So I am all set to start sewing next Saturday!
