Leather passport cover with photo and text
It was time for a new passport cover, or at least a second. 🙂 A good project to try how the laser cutting machine handles cutting different kinds of leather. For this leather it worked very well. I had a cutting file made using the same dimensions I used to order a cutting die for a cardholder. The great thing is I can now scale the file to any desired size and cut it with the laser. As you can see below the smalest and the biggest are cut with the laser and the one in the middle is the original.
The photo and text are laser engraved into leather. I just keep being amazed about the level of detail this machine can handle.
